Pigment Red 8 is a red powder. The density is 1.31g/cm², and the melting point is between 345°C and 355°C. The color is more vivid. Good resistance to acids, but poorer resistance to alkalis. It can be maintained at 150 °C for 20 min, dissolved in concentrated sulfuric acid as yellow light and red, and precipitated with big red after dilution.
